Christmas Moose

Here's a slightly confusing photo from Christmas eve:

I'm trying to determine why everyone in this photo is pointing to a moose. It appears to belong to the species Christmasimus moosimum, because of its brightly colored nose. Other than that, I don't see anything unusual about this particular moose.
If anyone has any ideas on why my family has singled out this poor moose for ridicule, please let me know.

EKH says: Or, could it be that some of them refused to believe that it is actually a moose, NOT a raindeer despite the birghtly colored piece of paper stuck to the end of its nose??

i'm glad you titled this entry "Christmas Moose" it's good to know there are other sane people out there. The poor moose was trapped on Christmas Eve while emma and a few other crazy people taped on a FAKE red nose. that's what the commotion in the picture is all about. they couldn't handle the fact that it's actually a moose so they resorted to plastic surgery. what is this world coming to?

Just to clarify… I have never heard of a moose that celebrates Christmas. Reindeer happen to be the epitome of Christmas. Did a moose pull Santa’s sleigh? I think not. Clearly, this mammal looks like a reindeer. According to the dictionary:
rein•deer (r n dîr )
n. pl. reindeer or rein•deers
A large deer (Rangifer tarandus) of the Arctic and northern regions of Eurasia and North America, having branched antlers in both sexes.

It’s obvious that the group in the picture is pointing out the well-known truth: this animal is a reindeer. Sorry if this offends anyone, but the truth had to be known.

Sincerely,
Carey, Emma, and Grace

P.S. The fake red nose was just because that reindeer wanted to be like his role model Rudolph.

well, they had to put their 2 cents in. and now that they got their feelings out, it's clear that what they said doesn't prove anything whatsoever! oh well for c,e,and g. too bad! if it's a "christmas reindeer" then it would be able to fly..and marc and i have already tested that. the MoOsE couldn't. i think now it's safe to say: case closed! hahaha. :)
all in good spirits,
addie :)
p.s. the nose thing was forced on the moose..ignore what carey said about rudolph being his role model..??

if anyone can produce a photo of the Christmas moose in flight, or pulling a sleigh, or with any tiny reindeer I could entertain the idea that he could be kin to Rudolph.
o/w, I tend to agree with UJohn...no more cider for you! (I'll take some though!)

how could a STUFFED ANIMAL fly anyway,"addie", so whatever you think you proved by holding up the poor REINDEER in the air, and dropping it to see if it would fly, is POINTLESS considering that it is FAKE!!! so therefore, you must see that it is TRUELY a Reindeer, and nothing else. so "case closed" to you.
